Perrier's Dirty Little Secret: Is Your Favorite Water Brand a Lying Cheat?

Oh boy, France is in a tizzy! It turns out that those fancy bottled waters we all love to guzzle (and pay an arm and a leg for) might not be as "natural" as we thought. I mean, who needs tap water when you can shell out €5 a bottle for something that's been filtered through a series of questionable methods? Not me, that's for sure!

I'm shocked - SHOCKED! - to hear that the multi-billion euro mineral water industry is under scrutiny for its environmental impact. Who knew that all those empty bottles and packaging waste were contributing to climate change? I guess that's what happens when you're too busy sipping on your "pure" mountain spring water to think about the consequences of your actions.

And let's be real, the only thing more scandalous than this is the fact that some of these brands are still trying to pass off treated water as "natural mineral water." Like, hello, EU law says it's supposed to be unaltered between the source and the bottle! It's not like they're serving up a glass of tap water with a fancy label or anything (oh wait...). The whole thing is just a big ol' mess, and I'm here for it.
